Diane HEIREND | Architect, Urban planner, Manager

Born in Luxembourg, Luxembourg

Diane Heirend studied architecture and urban planning at École d’Architecture Paris-Conflans under the direction of Nicolas Michelin. Her graduation from Jean Brasilier’s professorial workshop was followed by an internship at Bétrix & Consolascio Architects in Zurich. Diane Heirend returned to Luxembourg as a freelance architect and began working for Paul Bretz Architects, where she exercised the role of project manager for the construction of Roodt/Syre’s primary school.

Diane Heirend architecte was founded in 1995. The company engaged in miscellaneous architectural undertakings on single family homes, as well as furniture design for both private clients and public entities. The project Parc Jacquinot, a redevelopment of Bettembourg’s municipal park, put the company on the map and was nominated for the Prix Luxembourgeois de l’Architecture. All along and for more than a decade Diane Heirend signed the scenography for numerous local theatre companies and productions.

Today, 26 years down the line, Diane Heirend’s team, operating under the name Diane Heirend architecture & urbanisme, is made up of multicultural creative professionals :  nine architects and one administrative assistant.
